Enjoy the fall colors as you plant trees and shrubs you will enjoy next year.

• Select and choose trees and shrubs for your landscape. Many nurseries begin to harvest plants now that the weather is cooler and the plants are going dormant.
• Continue to monitor moisture levels. Even though we might have received some rain the soil can still be very dry.
• Core aerate your lawn.
• Fertilize shrubs and trees.
• Speak to a professional about pruning, bracing and cabling branches in large trees to avoid winter damages.
• Begin fall clean up. Remove fallen leaves in your planting beds. These leaves can harbor insects and funguses that could later damage your plants.
• Speak to a Certified Nursery and Landscape professional about plants that are deer resistant. And ways to protect your plants from deer damage.
